Hey there! I’m a cross-functional full-stack software developer with a solid 8 years under my belt. My journey in software has taken me through all sorts of interesting places. I’ve seen a lot, from the good, the bad, to the downright quirky in software development.

I have worked in various domains and accross mutliple technology stacks. I have worked on assymble code for legacy products, built enterpirse applications in Spring Boot, and have worked on green field projects for startups. I’ve got my hands dirty setting up deployment pipelines in pretty much every environment you can think of: AWS, Azure, Bitbucket, GitHub, Jenkins. I once even followed a 20-step deployment ritual from a dusty old Word doc dated back to 2009 to cut a virtual tape.

I’ve built websites, I’ve built HTTP APIs (REST, gPRC, and SOAP 🤢), I’ve used SQL, I’ve used NoSQL, I’ve even added a JSON parser to a proritary imlimentaiton of JavaScript.

Oh yeah also I use VIM

My interests include cycling (during the warmer seasons), lifting heavy things at the gym, and exploring the many Minnesota hiking trails with my wife and our dog. Weekends often find me engrossed in enhancing my home automation system or delving into a variety of software side projects.
